If you’re in the market for a new iPhone, there are a few things you need to know before preordering one. Here are some tips on how to preorder an iPhone 13 Plus:
- Make sure you have an active Apple account and have received notification of the update to iOS 12.2. If not, go to apple.com/account and sign in.
- Go to the Apple Store or an authorized retailer and sign in with your Apple ID and password. If you don’t have an account, create one now at apple.com/accounts/.
- Go to the “Preorder” tab on the product page and select “iPhone 13 Plus.” Enter your shipping information and choose a payment method (credit card or PayPal). Click “Continue.”
- You’ll be asked to enter your phone’s IMEI number (the unique identifier for your device). This number is located on the back of your phone near the camera lens, or on the SIM card tray if you’ve removed it already. Click “Next.”
- Review your order details and make any changes if necessary, then click “Submit Order.” Your order will be submitted and you’ll receive a confirmation email with more information about when your iPhone 13 Plus will be shipped out! ..
The iPhone 13 preorder period starts on September 17 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific time. The phones themselves will be released starting a week later on September 24, 2021.
Preorder From Apple
The easiest way to preorder an iPhone 13 is straight from Apple. Head to Apple’s Buy iPhone website, choose the type of iPhone you want (iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro), and choose your model. You can also use the Apple Store app on an iPhone or iPad for this.
Apple’s website will walk you through choosing a color, storage capacity, and payment plan options. You can connect your new iPhone to your cellular carrier and trade in your old phone with Apple to get a discount on your new iPhone. You can add AppleCare+ coverage, too.
Cellular carriers offer a variety of promotions to get an iPhone through Apple, and you’ll see them listed on Apple’s Buy iPhone website.
Preorder From Your Cellular Carrier
Depending on your cellular carrier, you can likely also choose to order an iPhone through your cellular carrier rather than buy it from Apple. Your carrier will have different offers available if you order the iPhone directly through your carrier and skip Apple.
Read about the iPhone 13 promotions available from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the USA. (But be sure to read the fine print, as many of these promotions only offer their best rates with the most expensive cell phone plans—or if you trade in a particularly expensive phone.)
