That means you can’t open certain applications or change settings that are important to your work or play. Fortunately, there’s a way to open most applications as an administrator on Windows 11. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Start menu and search for “Administrative Tools.” When Administrative Tools appears in the results, right-click it and select “Open as Administrator.”
  2. In the Administrative Tools window, click the “Windows Logon” tab and then click the “Accounts” button.
