Android is a versatile mobile operating system that can be customized to fit the needs of just about anyone. However, there are times when users may want to remove an app from their device or change the default settings. Here are four ways to do just that:
- Access the App Manager The first step is to access the App Manager. This can be done by going to Settings > Apps and then selecting App Manager. From here, users can see all of their installed apps and uninstall them if they want.
- Use the Force Close Feature If an app is causing problems or is just not being used, users can use the Force Close feature to remove it from their device. To do this, open the app and press and hold down on it until it closes automatically. This will remove it from your device and any data that was stored within it will be lost.
- Change Default Settings for an App If an app is not being used or is causing problems, users can change its default settings by going to its settings page and selecting Default Settings. From here, they can choose what type of data should be synced between devices (such as contacts) and whether or not the app should be automatically opened when a phone is connected to a power source or unlocked. ..
There are many reasons why someone might want to hide an app—and Android has plenty of ways to do it. What if you want to do the opposite, though? Is it possible to find apps that have been hidden?
Many home screen launchers and some specialized apps have the ability to hide stuff. This is the method most people will use, but all launchers work differently. Rather than focus on specific methods for hiding apps, we’ll show you how to find apps on any Android device.

First, swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice—depending on the manufacturer of your phone—and tap the gear icon to open the Settings.
Next, go to “Apps.”
On some devices, you’ll need to tap “See All Apps.” Others will go straight to the full app list.
If your phone has the option, make sure you are looking at “All Apps.”
Now you can see the entire list of apps installed on the device. Even apps that have been hidden by the home screen launcher will appear here. The only way to hide an app from this list would be with some pretty serious hackery.
That’s all there is to it! This will likely be a pretty long list of apps, so it does require a certain level of attention to detail. The hidden apps won’t be labeled. But it will work regardless of the app they’re using to hide stuff. Just make sure you’re not needlessly violating someone’s privacy by doing this.
