If you’re using Google Maps on your Android device, you can enable dark mode to make it more difficult to see the map in bright sunlight. To do this, open the Maps app and select the “Options” menu. Then select “Dark Mode.” You’ll then be able to choose how dark your map will be. The default is “Light,” which makes the map look a little more like a real-world map. If you want to make your map darker still, select “Dark.” This will make the map look like it’s black and white instead of color. If you’re using Google Maps on a phone that doesn’t have a physical home button, you can also enable dark mode by going into Settings and selecting “Display.” There, you’ll find a list of options for turning on or off dark mode in Google Maps.

Traveling at night, or just prefer a dark interface? You can enable dark mode in Google Maps on your Android phone and enjoy a dark navigation system. We’ll show you how to toggle that mode on and off.

In Google Maps on Android, you can use a light theme, a dark theme, or the default theme of your phone. You can have any one of these themes enabled at any given time in the app.
