If you have an iPhone or iPad, there are a few ways to disable iMessage mention notifications.
- Open the Settings app and select the General tab.
- Scroll down and select the Messages section.
- Scroll down and select the iMessage section.
- Toggle the option to “Notify me when new messages arrive.”
Starting in iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, Apple made some changes to how iMessage groups work. While you can mute group conversations, the Messages app still sends out notifications when someone mentions you.
