Apple TV users are always recommended to watch a certain show or movie. But if you don’t want to see those recommendations every time you turn on your Apple TV, there are a few ways to disable them.
- Open the Settings app and select the General tab. Under “Recommendations,” select “Do not recommend this content.”
- Open the App Store and search for “Disable recommendations on Apple TV.” Once you find it, open it and click on the link to disable recommendations.
- If you’re using AirPlay 2, open AirPlay 2 and select “Not recommended content.” This will disable all AirPlay 2 recommendations for that device.
The Apple TV app uses the watch history of movies and shows to personalize recommendations under the “For You” or “For All of You” section. You can turn it off and stop seeing those automated suggestions on Apple TV. Here’s how.
With the family sharing active, you might see some outrageous recommendations based on everyone’s watch history. Thankfully, you can turn off the “For All of You” section and clear your watch history on Apple TV.
