If you’re using Google Chrome, you can check which websites can access your location by going to the “Location” tab in the browser and clicking on the “Show location history” button. This will show you a list of websites that have accessed your location in the past. You can then click on any of these websites and see their current location information.
In Google Chrome, websites that you’ve allowed to access your location can see your location on your future visits without your permission. If you’d like to review this list of sites, we’ll show you how on desktop and Android.
Before we start, it’s worth nothing that in Chrome on iPhone and iPad, you don’t have the option to see a list of sites that can access your location. Instead, you can disable location sharing on your device to prevent any sites from finding your exact location.

Check Which Sites Can Access Your Location on Desktop
To view the sites that have access to your location in Chrome on your Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, first, launch Chrome. In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the three dots.
In the three-dots menu, select “Settings.”
On the “Settings” page, in the sidebar on the left, click “Privacy and Security.”
You’ll see a “Privacy and Security” section on the right. Here, click “Site Settings.”
On the “Site Settings” page, in the “Permissions” section, click “Location.”
You’re now on the “Location” page. Scroll this page down to the “Allowed to See Your Location” section. This section displays a list of sites that can access your location in Chrome.
To prevent a site from accessing your location, click that site in this list. On the following screen, next to “Location,” click the “Allow” drop-down menu and select “Block.”
When you’re done, exit Settings, and you’re good to go.
Check Which Sites Can Access Your Location on Android
In Chrome on Android, you can also see the list of sites having access to your location. To view that list, launch Chrome on your phone. In the top-right corner of Chrome, tap the three dots.
From the three-dots menu, select “Settings.”
Scroll down the “Settings” page to the “Advanced” section and tap “Site Settings.”
On the “Site Settings” page, tap “Location.”
On the “Location” page, under the “Allowed” section, you will see a list of sites that have access to your location.
If you’d like to prevent a site from viewing your location, tap that site in the list and choose “Block” from the menu.
Now that you know how to find the sites that have the privilege to access your location, you can review them individually and allow or disallow them from viewing your location. When you’re done, exit Settings.
By the way, did you know you can block sites from asking for your location in your web browsers? Use this option if you don’t want to get those annoying location requests in the future. Stay safe!
