Adobe has announced the launch of Creative Cloud Express, a new subscription-based service that offers access to all of the company’s creative tools. The service is available to anyone with an Adobe account, and it costs $5 per month. Creative Cloud Express is designed to compete with Canva, the company’s main rival in the creative market. Canva offers a free account that allows users to create and share basic designs and photos. Adobe says that Creative Cloud Express will offer more features and tools than Canva, including support for video creation, 3D printing, and more. The launch of Creative Cloud Express comes as Adobe tries to stay ahead of its competitors in the creative market. The company has been struggling to keep up with changes in technology, including the rise of digital media platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

The company describes CC Express as “a unified task-based, web and mobile product that makes it easy to create and share beautiful rich multimedia content — from social media posts and stories to invitations to marketing materials like logos, flyers, and banners.”

Adobe is known for making some more complicated programs like Photoshop and Premiere Pro, and this is the opposite. You will drag and drop to create images and videos for social media and other places. It looks like Adobe is targeting its new service at people who don’t want to spend hours learning complicated interfaces and tools.

“With Creative Cloud and Creative Cloud Express, we are meeting the demands of all creators and catalyzing the creator economy,” said David Wadhwani, chief business officer and executive vice president, Adobe. “Creative Cloud Express is the start of a brand-new journey to introduce first-time creators to Adobe creative tools while adding significant value to our current Creative Cloud subscribers.”

You can try out Creative Cloud Express for free. It serves as a replacement for Adobe Spark, but it offers more functionality.

In addition, there’s a premium version for $9.99 per month, which adds additional features. Like Canva, you’ll get more templates, photos, all the fonts, and other benefits with the premium plan.
